World Vision Charity Walk with Love 1 Feb

9 Jan

Deprived of food, out of school, child marriage, these are the adversities that many children in Afghanistan face. As we embrace a new year of hope, let’s spend a morning with our friends and colleagues, walk together and raise funds to help children and families in Afghanistan in need.

Funds raised from Charity Walk with Love will support World Vision to provide livelihood assistance, child protection and healthcare in Afghanistan, with the aim to assist children and families who have lost their livelihoods and homes due to adverse environmental conditions. Your generosity will help rebuild their lives, restore their health and rekindle hope.

HK$1,000 can subsidise pharmaceutical supplies to Mobile Health Teams
HK$500 can support a facilitator a month’s salary, to provide assistance for caregivers of children
HK$200 can provide vegetable seeds and farming tools for a household

One last word before Christmas…give generously

17 Dec

This will be the last blog post of the year. As we dive into the Festive Season, spare a thought for those less fortunate. With the continued social unrest, it’s been a particularly difficult year for nonprofits to raise funds with many fundraising events either postponed or cancelled. They need your help more than ever.

So please spare a thought for them and donate generously. The organisations listed under Volunteer Opportunities on this blog would welcome your donations.

Happy Holidays, posts will resume in the New Year!
