My Story Creation Competition 2017

Kids4Kids encourages students to develop their creative story writing and illustration skills through the My Story Creation platform designed to spark imagination and creativity.

My Story Creation’, previously known as ‘Writing for a Cause’, is a bilingual creative writing competition open to all primary school students in Hong Kong. The competition encourages children to express their imagination and present their original ideas to the world.

My Story Creation aims to:
* Develop literacy in primary aged school children
* Inspire kids to write creative stories
* Contribute age appropriate picture storybooks to share with other kids in the community
* Involve participants from a wide range of social, economic and cultural backgrounds

Competition Details for Individuals (Open Category)
As a not-for-profit organization, Kids4Kids relies on the support of the community to run youth empowerment and literacy development programs and donations are gratefully accepted. Individuals who donate HK$300 or more will receive a copy of the Kids4Kids Treasury, a collection of the top stories from ‘My Story Creation’ 2016.

Eligibility
The competition is open to all Hong Kong primary school students (P.1-6).

Registration
1. There is a registration fee of HK$200, which can be paid by Paypal, cheque or bank transfer.
2. Register on OpenClass (with proof of payment if by bank transfer).
3. You will be sent a ‘submission code’ by email that you use to submit your story online in September 2017.

Deadline for registration: 31 August 2017

Online story submission: 1-30 September 2017

Results announced via Kids4Kids website: February 2018
