24-Hour Race benefitting HandsOn Hong Kong 12-13 Oct

5 Aug

Every October, teams of drivers battle it out in a 24-hour race at Sideways Driving Club that sees them racing through the day, into the night with headlights and back into the morning sunrise in state-of-the-art simulators. Each team of 2-6 drivers races to raise money to support HandsOn Hong Kong programs for local communities in need. This year’s race will take place on 12-13 October at Sideways in Central.

Whether participants are first-time drivers or experienced racers, this exhilarating experience puts their speed, skills, and endurance to the test. Teams receive more than 50 hours of simulation time with practice sessions run by qualified instructors to learn racing technique and strategy. As part of the race, each team also has their car custom painted by graphic designers and drivers receive branded t-shirts with their team name. In addition, teams get discounts at the chill-out lounge at Staunton’s Wine Bar during the race and fantastic prizes are presented to podium finishers and highest fundraisers.

The entire cost of the actual event is covered directly by Sideways Driving Club and the participating teams. So, all donations go 100% to HOHK causes. Teams are required to set up their own Simply Giving page, to raise money for the community.
