About Sun Hung Kai Properties Limited (SHKP): Sun Hung Kai Properties Limited (SHKP) puts its long-standing belief in ‘Building Homes with Heart’ into practice, on the one hand by developing residences of the finest quality and offering first-class service to its customers, and also by contributing to the good of the community. By actively promoting reading and holistic development, healthy and sustainable living and care for the underprivileged, we strive to make Hong Kong a better home for everyone.

First introduced in Hong Kong in 2012, ‘SHKP Vertical Run for Charity’ is a charitable fundraising activity to encourage healthy living and giving among Hong Kong. ‘SHKP Vertical Run for Charity’ was held at two locations in 2014, including International Commerce Centre in Hong Kong (Race to Hong Kong ICC) and International Financial Centre in Shanghai (Race to Shanghai IFC), and have attracted near 14,000 runners throughout the years. Other major community initiatives include the SHKP Reading Club, SHKP Building Homes with Heart Caring Initiative, SHKP Love Nature Campaign and a guided tour programme to promote inclusion and care for the needy.

About Vertical World Circuit (VWC): The Vertical World Circuit (VWC) is a unique project conceived by the International Skyrunning Federation, in which some of the most iconic skyscraper races are joined in a circuit with the participation of the world’s top specialists and thousands of passionate enthusiasts. A points system determines the Champion title and cash prizes to the winners at the final. Nine races stretch across the globe including Seoul, Paris, New York, Manila, Beijing, Osaka and London. SHKP initiates two races, respectively at Shanghai IFC and the Grand Finale at Hong Kong ICC where the 2018 VWC champions will be crowned.

About Community Chest of Hong Kong: The Community Chest of Hong Kong was established in 1968 as an independent, non-profit making organisation neither funded, nor operated by the Government. Each year, the Chest organises fund-raising events to benefit over 160 member social welfare agencies that reach out to more than two million beneficiaries in Hong Kong in six major areas of services: children & youth, elderly, family & child welfare, medical & health, rehabilitation & aftercare, and community development. The Chest’s administrative expenses come from a subsidised grant from our partner-in-charity, The Hong Kong Jockey Club, in addition to income from investments. This allows the Chest to allocate 100% of funds raised to charitable use; this operations model makes the Chest unique among its peers, and helps fulfil its mission to act as trustee of the donors.

About Hong Kong Council of Social Service (HKCSS): The Hong Kong Council of Social Service (HKCSS) works to promote a just and inclusive society by promoting collaborative efforts among NGOs in service planning and development, facilitating cross-sectoral partnership, advocating equality, justice, social integration and a caring community. The Council has now become an umbrella organisation of over 460 Agency Members, that provide over 90% of the social welfare services for those in need through 3,000 service units all over Hong Kong.
