The Hub Hong Kong Children and Youth Centre

28 Aug

The HUB is a children’s support concept which provides food, educational, social health and wellbeing services to those who need it most without discrimination.

In early 2011 the first HUB was established in Bangkok, Thailand in partnership with Childline Thailand with the support of the Royal Family.

Hong Kong based Australians David Boehm and Bruce Stinson decided they wanted to give something back to Hong Kong after 30+ years of working and living here, and asked Bill for his support and advice.

The outcome was a commitment to help the children in disadvantaged circumstances especially concerning economic and social opportunities. They believe that the youth are the key for Hong Kong to continue to be a leading, growing community. They saw that not all children had the same opportunity so they decided to form a Foundation to give children the opportunity to find a better environment to develop into contributing members of the community.

What you can do to help:
The Hub welcomes volunteers to help with homework guidance, household visits, outdoor activities, assisting with activities and much more. Whether you want to work with children & families, teenagers, women, or new arrivals, there is something for everyone. If you are interested, please let the Hub know by filling out the form in the attached link.
