Earth Hour 2016

5 Mar

earth hour 2016Living our material lives in this material world allows us to have an enviably high quality of life. But we seldom think about how our lifestyles affect the Earth’s resources.

If everyone on Earth were to live the way Hong Kong people do, we would need 3.1 planets to meet our needs. Today, Hong Kong people consume 540 times more natural resources than the territory can provide.

We only have one planet. It cannot give us everything that we are used to having forever. To celebrate the tenth Earth Hour, WWF is asking everyone to consume less and consume wisely to help sustain the Earth by changing our lifestyles and giving up some unnecessary luxuries. Let’s use our power to build a future in which humans live in harmony with nature.

What are you going to do to help our planet earth?
